Alexis is an educator with a passion for creating inclusive, diverse and equitable environments for students to learn. With over 20 years experience in education, Alexis worked as a special education teacher and school leader advocating for the social emotional needs of all students and the inclusion of students with disabilities, while developing inclusive programming in schools. She currently uses her expertise to help families and schools navigate the challenges of meeting students’ needs in the classroom through her educational consulting LLC. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Grand Valley State University, and an Inclusion Coach with Joyful Inclusion. Alexis has a BA in Communications from Oakland University and a Master’s in Education from DePaul University. She lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
