Dr. Gina (Georgina) Wilson is a passionate advocate for social-emotional learning (SEL) in education, with over two decades of experience as a public school educator. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to breaking down environmental and educational barriers for students, prioritizing their well-being and success.

In her most recent P-12 role, Dr. Wilson spearheaded the implementation of a trauma-informed program model tailored to meet the social-emotional needs of high school students. By integrating restorative practices, mindfulness techniques, and intentional relationship-building strategies, she created an inclusive classroom environment where students could thrive and discover their full potential.

Transitioning to higher education in 2019, Dr. Wilson now serves as an assistant professor of educational leadership at Central Michigan University. In this capacity, she plays a pivotal role in preparing current and future school administrators, serving as both faculty and program director.

Continuing her pursuit of excellence, Dr. Wilson is currently completing her Master of Arts in Character Education through the University of Birmingham, England. Her research focuses on the mindsets, values, beliefs, and practices of educators across all levels of education, examining how intentional relationship-building fosters a sense of belonging in learning environments.
