With over two decades of experience in education, Shawn has held pivotal roles such as Superintendent, Principal, Assistant Superintendent/Curriculum Director, Title and At-Risk Coordinator, Special Education Coordinator, and Preschool Program Director. He is a strong advocate for a holistic approach to education, emphasizing the importance of emotional and social resilience alongside academic achievement.

Shawn is a highly accomplished educational leader, holding a Doctorate in Educational Administration and Leadership from Central Michigan University, a Master of Arts in Educational Technology, and two Bachelor of Science degrees. He also possesses a Certificate of Leadership and Management from Harvard University. In support of SEL efforts, Shawn has been instrumental in designing and integrating comprehensive SEL programs at the district level, ensuring that social-emotional learning is seamlessly woven into the fabric of educational practice.
