Tomoko Wakabayashi, Ed.D., is Associate Professor and Coordinator of the PhD program in Early Childhood Education at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Prior to her current position, she served as Director of Research at the HighScope Educational Research Foundation in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and led the evaluation of Michigan’s state-funded preschool. Her research interests include identifying practices that promote high quality and equitable early care and education. She received her Ed.D. in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
