Angela Blood Starr is a Regional School Health Coordinator at Calhoun Intermediate School District with experience in providing instructional services to educators related to the fields of health education, physical education, and wellness. Angela is a member of the Michigan School Health Coordinators' Association (MiSHCA) where she has served in various leadership roles such as President and Treasurer. As a former physical education and health teacher, Angela gained experience in the classroom that continues to influence her work with others who support schools. Currently, Angela services a five-county region in the areas pertaining to the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) framework including wellness, health education, physical education, social and emotional learning, crisis intervention, the whole child, and trauma-informed practices. As an iRest® Level I Teacher, Angela also provides training and support to educators through resiliency promotion and practice.
