Shawna Boomgaard, Ed.S., LMSW, ACTP, BCTP, is a full-time social work/mental health faculty member at Oakland Community College. She is a student in the doctoral program at Oakland University and an adjunct faculty member for the Social Work Department and Human Development and Child Studies. She is also the co-leader of the Oakland University-Pontiac Initiative Early Childhood Education (OUPIECE) group.  Shawna has over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families; she has in-depth experience in clinical and administrative roles, working in and consulting with schools and community organizations.
